Photovoltaic Systems
Sonoma Water has four solar photovoltaic (PV) systems integrated into its operations. These PV systems are part of Sonoma Water’s goal to produce carbon free water. Totaling nearly 2 megawatts alternating current (MW AC) of capacity, Sonoma Water is able to save an estimated $2.3M off its operational costs over the life of the systems. Sonoma Water continues to investigate additional opportunities for solar power generation.
