We are currently recruiting for an Internship in our Wastewater Operator's group!

Paid Internship available at The Sonoma County Water Agency (Sonoma Water) in our Wastewater Operator’s group!

Starting pay: $22.62 per hour!

As a wastewater intern you will pursue a career in wastewater operations; your work with Sonoma Water will count towards your WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT OPERATOR certification!

Qualifications:

   •Current enrollment in an accredited college or a formal workforce development program. If necessary, Sonoma Water will work with applicants on satisfying this requirement.

   •High School diploma or equivalent.

   •CA Driver’s License.

The Ideal candidate will have:

   •Course work in wastewater treatment.

   •Passed the Wastewater Operator Certification Grade 1 or higher exam.

   •The Ability to communicate clearly in person and in writing/typing.

   •Lab and/or sample collecting experience.

   •A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a good work ethic.

   •Availability for 9-18 months.

•How a wastewater treatment plant works and the Plant Operator’s role in plant operations and maintenance.
