Where Does Our Water Go? An Amazing Transformation!
(Sonoma Valley schools only)

Have you ever wondered what happens to water when it goes down the drain? Bring your class on a tour of the Sonoma Valley Wastewater Treatment Plant and learn how water is treated, tested, and reused in our community. 

This program consists of a 60-minute pre-lesson in your classroom and a half day facility tour. FREE buses are provided for the field trip.

Students will learn:

• Where water goes when it goes down the drain
• How microbes help clean our water to make it safe to reuse
• How recycled water makes our communities more sustainable
• How renewable energy is used to power the Sonoma Valley Wastewater Treatment Plant
